Welcome to My World of User Experience (UX)

Career

Expertise

Designer

As a design professional, I have been responsible for designing various platforms across multiple user touchpoints, including employee portal websites, virtual agent chatbots, mobile applications, voice channels, prompt campaigns, email templates, and dashboards. My expertise also encompasses branding, design systems, and accessibility. I have collaborated with developers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to ensure that the design is user-friendly and accessible throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, I have acquired proficiency in the Double Diamond process and have applied my knowledge to various real-world projects.

Researcher

As a research professional, I have conducted user research and usability evaluations employing diverse methodologies, tailored to the specific requirements of each project. These methodologies encompass interviews, card sorting, A/B testing, heatmaps, focus groups, surveys, diary studies, heuristic evaluation, and contextual inquiry. Collaborating closely with users and stakeholders, I have analyzed the obtained results and provided actionable insights to the development team, thereby enhancing the product’s usability. Additionally, I have developed comprehensive UX guidelines and definitions for both internal and external usage.

The Double Diamond Model

As a UX expert, my problem-solving process is guided by the Double Diamond Model, a design process model introduced by the British Design Council in 2005. This model provides a clear, comprehensive, and visually represented framework for the design process, emphasizing both problem identification and solution development.

The model comprises four distinct phases:

1. Discover: This initial phase focuses on comprehending the problem domain. Designers gather insights through user research, observations, and data collection to identify user requirements and challenges.

2. Define: In this phase, the gathered insights are analyzed and synthesized to precisely define the core problem. This entails crafting problem statements or design briefs that serve as guiding principles for the development process.

3. Develop: Here, designers explore diverse solutions through ideation, prototyping, and testing. The objective is to develop multiple potential solutions and refine them based on feedback and testing.

4. Deliver: The final phase involves selecting the most viable solution, finalizing the design, and implementing it. This encompasses final testing, production, and launch, ensuring the solution effectively addresses the defined problem.

The Double Diamond model advocates for a harmonious balance between divergent thinking (exploring broadly) and convergent thinking (narrowing down) in each phase. This approach promotes a thorough and user-centric design methodology.
